Hi, I'm Ingvar.

I'm a German investor living in Stockholm, Sweden. Since August 2020 I've been investing publicly on eToro — my own money, every trade visible, nothing editable after the fact. What started as a personal experiment in disciplined, transparent investing has become more than 4,600 real people copying the portfolio with $10 million+ of their own money.

ingruc.com is where the portfolio gets its full story: the extended analytics, the personal finance fundamentals I wish I'd had when I started, and the lessons six years of investing publicly have taught.

The strategy, in one paragraph

Value investing, in the tradition Buffett made famous, run through a free-cash-flow lens: buy businesses that generate real cash, at prices that assume the cash will stop, and hold them until the market changes its mind. No leverage, no short selling, no derivatives — avoiding these is already half your risk management. The goals haven't changed since day one, and the portfolio shows what it looks like with money on it.

Background

The path here ran through business school and buildings: a B.Sc. in International Business at Maastricht University, an M.Sc. in Strategic Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam, then five years in commercial real estate, managing assets and projects — where I learned what cash flow means when it has to pay for a roof. Since August 2020, investing has been the full-time job: six years now, all of them public.

Credentials

Private investing requires no license, but I went and got the education anyway: the Level 3 Certificate in Securities (2021) and the Level 4 Certificate in Investment Management (2022) from the CISI, the UK's Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment — the professional body that qualifies people working in British finance. If you've never heard of it, that's fair; the links go to the official register and the syllabus, so you don't have to take my word for what's behind the acronym. Certificates don't pick stocks. But when this site shows you performance, drivers and drawdowns, it means the person calculating them had to learn to do it properly.
